Roberto Tapia, born February 3, 1981 in San Diego and raised in Culiacán, Sinaloa, is a leading voice in Regional Mexican music—especially banda, norteño and mariachi. Known for hits like “El Niño de la Tuna”, “Las Edades” and “Mirando al Cielo”, he’s won Billboard chart-toppers and awards in Latin music. He’s released new songs in 2025 including “El Abarrote” and “Volví A Creer En El Amor”, after overcoming a lengthy personal struggle. Collaborated with Prince Royce, Natalia Jiménez, among others, Tapia is well-known for blending traditional regional sound with modern flair.
